I have a bottle of Seagram's V.O. still sealed and it has a date on the cap of 1955. It this still drinkable and if so how long will it be good. I was born in 1955 and always thought it would be great if people drank it at my funeral. Is that morose?

Whiskey does not change - age or get any better - in the bottle. It should be just as it was when new.Of course, Seagrams is a not-very-good blended whiskey. I'd really prefer a good single malt. If I was to want a good whiskey served at my funeral, Macallan 1950 / 52 Year Old would be a good choice. But no one I know could afford it. Glenfiddich (15 Year Old) would be real nice.

Morose? Absolutely not. That you would be so considerate even in death is phenomenal.
