Baking is really difficult for me, since I'm so horrible with directions sometimes xD. It's going to be my boyfriend's birthday in two days, and as a small gift (we've only been going out for a month), I wanted to make him some of his favorite dessert; tiramisu. :DCould someone give me a VERY easy-to-follow, detailed, reliable recipe for tiramisu? Also, I wanted to write something on top of it, with some strawberry-flavored gel/icing.Thank you very much!

I remember one "tiramisu" recipe that had much of the taste, but none of the complexity. It takes around five minutes, because I cheat heavily! Try it first, you might not like it...Ingredients:Savoiardi finger biscuitsBrandy or CointreauWhipped creamCocoaMethod:- Put the savoiardi biscuits side by side in a serving dish to cover the bottom- Drizzle the brandy or Cointreau over the biscuits until they're soggy, not dripping. (Warning: that's a LOT of alcohol!)- Spoon (or spray!) whipped cream over the biscuits- Dust the top with cocoa.- Refrigerate until needed.

It's not necessarily the most Traditional to use whipping cream but I have the easiest Tiramisu recipe (and as a professional cook It's alot easier and quick trick I've used instead of the egg whites in a pinch) brew either fresh espresso, or really strong coffee and add a splash of brandy (or vanilla if you don't have any)and set aside. Let a cup of marscapone cheese get to room temp and whip. In another bowl whip a cup of whipping cream with a tablespoon of sugar(powdered or regular) slowly and gently mix the whip cream into the cheese in 3 turns. Dip your lady fingers into the coffee mix and layer into a serving dish with a layer of the cream mix then a layer of lady fingers then another layer of cream and top with chocolate shaved with a vegetable peeler. Serve however you like, but it's nice in martini glasses.PS you can buy Lady fingers at almost every big grocery store these days.

Instead of explaining it...here's a link to Giada DeLaurentis' recipe (she's excellent when it comes to making Italian food and desserts--I've done them before)>>>>http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada…This way you can follow step-by-step. It's easy and beginners can do this.
