Bananas are Hermaphrodite (spelling?) which means they are neither male / female .The tree can reproduce on its'own. I went to a banana plantation in the Canaries and when the tree is nearly finished producing the fruit, it sends up a baby shoot which will produce next years crop. The parent tree is then cut down.

banana is food. good food. I prefer ribeye steaks though. but if I had to guess I'd say bananas are male based on the shape and size.

Don't listen to CYNTHIA, and everybody else who says otherwise. I work at Publix, I KNOW MY STUFF.Bananas can be female or male. If you open up your banana, and it's a little brown, its most likely a male. Also, some territorial male bananas have very big brown stumps, bigger than usual, mimicking human male penises. Bananas love to mimic animals, so watch out for some human features. I once opened up my male banana and saw what looked like my moms face in there...female bananas are more quite, and don't really play pranks as much.Hope this helped. :3

Bananas are fruit; therefore they have no gender.
