Can you eat your own poop?

i have always wondered. everybody likes the smell of their own poop and if it tastes like it smells then it is probably good. i ate dog poop once but i don't know if dog poop and human poop is the same.someone please help me!!!!!!!!!

NO!!!!!!! You can not eat your own poop. Human feces is WASTE and it will most likely make you sick, I would NOT recommend EVER doing this!!!!! And why would you eat dog poop??That is absolutely disgusting.

I don't think that would be a good idea because, if you did do that you could get sick or even worse the reason why you should not eat the poop is because bacteria and and other germs are in your poop so no you should not eat your own poop unless you want to get sick.

Yes go eat your own poop, it's great! Video yourself doing it and post it on youtube. Everyone will want to view that! Actually I find elephant poop is really tasty, and monkey poop has a real tang to it. MMMMMMM.............

Uh, I don't think poop in general smells particular pleasant at all. Your own poop and farts may smell better to you than others, but I don't know why that is. There's probably some scientific reason. I'm pretty sure you would vomit, but if you took all the harmful stuff out it would probably be just fine. I heard about someone that drank pee but all the bad toxins were out so it didn't harm them. I just wouldn't suggest eating it either way. Eeck!

There is a reason waste (ie poop) leaves your body. It is harmful/useless material that the body doesn't need and flushes out. Eating this is not healthy or sanatary.

If your poop smells good to you, you need to see a doctor. I'm not being sarcastic. Our fecal matter contains things that the body does not want...which is why it's processed out as waste. To deter us from eating it, there's a bad smell. If your poop smells good to you, that means you're not digesting certain foods and/or you have an infection.

Well technically, you can eat anything you put in your mouth. So i'd say yes, you can eat your own poop, but you wouldn't get any nutrients from it like you could if you ate real food. Because poo is waste, which is the stuff your body don't need, so it would be pointless to eat your own poop.
