My mom and I are making a home made cherry pie with cherries from our backyard. They are 2 different kinds of cherries, the sweet kind I think is Royal Ann cherries, and the tart ones I'm not sure. But we are wondering how much sugar we should use, I have no clue. We are planning on using both varieties of cherries in the same pie. Any suggestions on how much sugar to use??? Help!!

Yeah, at least 1/2 cup. But If you're feeling up to it, you can use cherry Kool-aid instead.

u have to measure how much cherry ur using to get the right measurement of sugar ur gonna use.say u use a cup of red cherries, u should use half a cup of sugar.since ur mixing sweet and tart, say the tart cherries ur using is also a cup, u should add a cup or a cup 1/2 to level it.cuz the tart ones are gonna over come the flavor of the sweet cherriesadding brown sugar would help, like maybe 2 or 3 spoonfuls.
