I didn't know Mcdonalds held parties at their restaurants. I would imagine its fairly cheap, it has to be much cheaper than chuck e cheeses.

The staff there will organise games for them which comes with prizes. And each kid will get a happy meal. If you want any more food then you'll have to pay.

We have had parties for our son in the past. While there's not a chance in the world I would do them now, I do know that around here (central Indiana) it costs about $4/person for a cheeseburger/fries/drink and a treat bag plus a cake, very minimal decor, a special gift for the birthday kid (we've always gotten those melamine plates) and treat bags for all. I believe there is a minimum of 8-10 paid guests. We've never had that many kids so since we had to pay for that many we just let adults snag the extra food (and it does cost slightly more for the nugget meals and less for hamburger meals). Also, McDonald's participates in UPromise which is a college savings program. But only gift certificates count. We always bought the amount of gc's we needed to pay for the party so that we got a little extra bonus of adding to our son's college account. It's really nice to have someone to take care of all the extras and since McDonald's is little kid crack it is a nice treat for the birthday kid.
