Another excellent way to get iron is to use cast iron skillets (and maybe other cast iron cookware like griddles, cornbread molds, etc.). The iron from the skillet will get into any food cooked in it (cast iron skillets aren't best for highly acidic sauces and things though since they'll interact with the iron). And cast iron skillets have to be "cleaned" in a slightly different way then briefly coated with oil afterward so they won't rust. On the other hand, they create a fantastically even cooking surface (hold heat well) so are prized by many cooks, especially for certain things, whether they're "bare" cast iron or enameled cast iron like many "Dutch ovens" (though those won't release iron since they're coated).MUCH MORE INFO:http://www.google.com/images?q=cast+iron…http://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=e…http://www.google.com/search?num=50&hl=e…And here are lists of "iron-rich" foods:http://www.google.com/search?q=iron+in+f…Diane B.
