What is bad about honey?

Nothing is wrong with honey, it just shouldn't be given to babies and toddlers due to the risk of bottulism. Otherwise, honey is very healthy: it is a natural unprocessed sweetener that can soothe sore throats, improve sexual health, and has other health benefits.

Some people say it's morally wrong to take the honey that bees worked hard to manufacture. However, bees make way more honey than they need to feed themselves. And, if the bees weren't making honey, what else would they do: read a good book? take a vacation? As you can tell, I don't have a moral conflict with honey-use. Making honey is all bees know how to do, so I don't have any problem using the excess. You shouldn't feed honey to a very young child (under a year old) as honey has the possibility of imparting botulism. It is in small enough amounts that it won't make an older toddler or an adult sick, but babies may not be able to fight it off. That's the only downside I know of.

Just that we're stealing the one thing bees work hardest for to get and dedicate their little lives to do while being tortured and kept in a box...

Honey is great. They found honey in the pyramids. It was sealed up and when they opened it it was still good. They even tasted it. When a bee keeper takes honey they don't take it all. If they did the bee hive wouldn't survive. Its in the bee keepers best interest to keep the hive alive and well so they can get more honey from them.

its what the bees work almost all their life for, and we just take it from them.

I'm assuming you mean "why is honey morally wrong" from the sectionBecause health-wise, nothing is wrong with it for everyone over a year old. Some vegans don't eat it because the bees worked all their lives and we take it. Personally, its because bees die trying defend the hive from beekeepers. When a bee stings, their organs, which are attached to their stingersm get ripped out. Bees have nervous systems, and I don't believe the amount of pain or suffering decreases with size, and inflicting pain on an animal when its unnecessary is wrong in my opinion. But I definitely have so much less against the honey industry then the dairy/meat/egg industries. Hope that helped :)

What is bad about honey? HONEY!?Imagine if you gathered food all day and your families sole source of food was that of what you gathered. Now, take ALL of that away and destroy your home. That is what is happening with the bees and those cruel beekeepers/sarcasm.

It's not bad for you.Morally speaking, it is the bees' food and a substance they work hard for, and we just take it. However, I suppose if bees had a surplus of honey, they would find no need for pollination and will eventually just leave the flowers alone (sounds like Bee Move, doesn't it?) and mess up the delicate balance of nature and the air we breathe...The again, that's just a hypothesis...I wouldn't know because I've never seen a beehive with a surplus of honey.
