Will eating a-lot of salt make you blind?

I love salt! I love putting TONS of salt in a pepper grater, grating it into a powder and putting it on my pop corn.EVERYONE in my family tells me in the long run, you will get blind from eating so much? Is this true? If it's True, mow much Milligrams of salt a day would i have to eat to get blind?

I think they are trying to freak you out so you will stop eating a lot of salty foods. Eating lots of salt is bad for you in many ways but I do not believe it causes you to go blind.

I've never heard that, but you are clogging up your arteries, which is more serious than going blind. You can be blind and fine, but if you clog up your arteries, you can suffer from heart disease or have a serious heart attack/stroke.

Well too much salt can cause high blood pressure which can lead to eye problems. Due to untreated and prolonged high blood pressure, the tiny blood vessels in the may get damaged resulting in poor eyesight

I am the same way, i love salt. I don't know if it will make you go blind, but i do know it put me in the hospital for a week. I had a reaction to it on a hot summer day. All i wanted to do was ear radishes or celery and stuff like that drenched in salt while in an air conditioned house and my body had a reaction to it. I blew up like a balloon My body retained all the water i was drinking because of the salt. I use a product called No Salt now. I would advise you to do the same. "good luck"
